On the 18th June 2011 Country Puddings helped to transport bikes to Whitehaven in Cumbria ready for the start of the C2C Ladies Summer Solstice cycle ride in aid of Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland. The challenge was to cycle 140 miles through stunning Lake District scenery, over the 'Roof of England' on the Northern Pennines, and down towards the North East Coast at Tynemouth. Participants raised funds of approximately £40,000 and helped increase awareness for a vital local charity that provides palliative care at home for patients with life limiting illnesses and their carers in North and East Cumbria. On Saturday 3rd September we were delighted to open the Daily Mail to see a lovely write up about our puddings by Masterchef presenter Gregg Wallace. Gregg and his wife Heidi received a box of our puddings after meeting them both at the Farm Shop & Deli Show earlier this year at the NEC Birmingham. Gregg said "Country Puddings have taken the traditional British dessert in all its forms and absolutely nailed it. There's everything from summer puddings to jam and syrup sponges. My favourite is the Creamy Rice Pudding."

We have been so inundated with orders for our Luxury Christmas Puddings this year, that we have none left in the Pudding Kitchen! We start producing our Christmas Puddings in January, which gives them sufficient time to mature ready for when the orders start flooding in. We produce several thousand Christmas Puddings each year, but with the introduction of our 'Pink Christmas Pudding' in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer they have been even more popular than ever and sold out sooner than expected. The 'Pink Christmas Pudding' which Country Puddings only started selling online and to retailers in August has enabled Country Puddings to raise £350.00 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
