
About Us
Country Puddings was established in November 2000 as the brainchild of Managing Director, Lynne Mallinson. We started by making traditional puddings from the farmhouse kitchen for the local farm shop at Penrith. Word soon spread and we converted a barn on the family farm into a dedicated ‘pudding kitchen’ to enable the business to grow.
After five years, this proved to be too small and now the pudding team operate from a new kitchen on a business park nearby. We are now able to offer a larger product range but our core values remain the same. We will not compromise on the quality of ingredients for our products.
In 2009, Taylors Classics was acquired, a smaller pudding company from Longtown, which enabled the product range to grow. And after much development in the pudding kitchen, the Creamy Vanilla Custard was launched and achieved a Great Taste Award.
This year sees the addition of four new puddings into the family. All traditional favourites that customers have been asking for, they are Bramley Apple Crumble, Rhubarb Crumble, Syrup Sponge Pudding and Jam Sponge Pudding.
